Gemini 1.5 access from Vertex AI platform

How can I access to Gemini 1.5 from Vertex AI? I only have access from AI Studio

Since the Gemini 1.5 Pro model in Vertex AI is in private preview and the access to these is very limited, you can sign up in AI Studio to get early access. 

Steps to get early access for Gemini 1.5 Pro model:

1. Go to the Google AI Studio.
2. Go to the model section.
3. Choose Gemini 1.5 Pro (in preview) from the list of available models.
4. Click on the “Join Waitlist” button.
5. Provide the information such as region, profession, and intended use for the model. 
6. Click “Submit”.

Meanwhile, if you have an enterprise account, you can reach out to your Vertex AI account team to submit a request for allowlisting on your behalf.

On the other hand, you could contact the Sales team to express your interest and they evaluate your eligibility for the allowlisting.

Yes, we are working with Vertex AI so we need to access it from there 🙂

From Vertex AI, go to Multimodal and you should see a model called Gemini Experimental. That's Gemini 1.5
