Action Buttons Not Showing in Chat App

I have deployed my first chat app. The use case is when a patient is marked as deceased, a chat is pushed to an internal Google Workspace chat room, and the result card should have two actions to confirm that the deceased patient has been properly marked as such in our EMR platform, and to confirm that a sympathy card has been sent.

The following images will have some information blurred to protect privacy, but here's what it looks like in the mobile appsheet app:

and here's what I get in the chat app version of the same view:

I'd like for the Edit and View Ref buttons to not show, and instead the Marked in Epic? and Sympathy Card Sent? buttons to show

Any ideas?

update: i spoke with AppSheet support about this and they were able to replicate the issue in their test environment. As of this typing, they do not know what is causing this and have asked that i give them some time to research and get back with me. I suppose i have stumbled across a bug.
