Action wont run on save

I have form that autofills with a barcode scan, then I scroll through and update any entries needed. When I tap save it writes add a new row with changes he to to my log table1. It also has an action created to amend the row in the data source table2. However I can't get this to run along with the 1st action when I tap save. I see the button and it works however I can't get it to run on save. Any thoughts?

Have you set the action as the form save behavior? What do you mean by "1st action", I only see you describing one action?

I did not, so I set is as an action with a trigger and boom it worked!!
