App thinks it's a template app -- won't save

I have a small app that runs fine on my computer, but on a user's computer it won't save anything.  It always pops up the message "Unable to save changes.  Template apps cannot be updated."  It also shows an exclamation point next to the sync icon, and when I click 'View error details' it says "Unable to add row to table 'GrantCalculator' -- Sample applications are protected from unauthorized data changes."

It is not a sample app nor is it based on one.  I have tried changing the sharing details from Default to Latest to no avail.  If it makes any difference, my computer is a PC and the user's computer is a Mac.

Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks for the reply.  Both those items are unchecked.  The app is already shared.  No luck.

I have the same issue. Is there a solution?

In my case, "Make this a team sample" was checked on.  I have no idea how or why it got checked, but unchecking it solved the problem.
