Assign a value to a cell once a person has been chosen.

In my first view I use cards with photos of people and their names. Once you click on one it brings up another screen. Is it possible to assign a behavior so that when they click on a person's name in the app (which is from column 2) it copies the name they click on into Cell d1 on a sheet? and then when they go back and click on a different one it changes cell d1 into thew new name they clicked on?
