Barcode Scanning Beep

I’ve set up a music workshop app that registers people as they arrive by scanning barcoded membership cards. I’m running it on an iPhone 7 and when the cards are successfully scanned it’s registered by a ‘beep’ sound. I’ve just installed the app on another iPhone 7 but although it vibrates, I’m not getting an audible sound. The sound settings on the second phone appear to be the same. Is there something in the app itself that controls the sound?

Problem solved - it was an issue with the phone, now resolved.
