Be able to save the progress without leaving the entry

Hi,

I have to add long texts in my app and I would like to be able to save the progress without leaving the entry.

Every time I click on Save, the entry closes and I have to open it again, which is very painful as I need to fill in more than 20 long text fields.

I would write to a notepad then copy paste the whole entry into the app when finished typing it.
Most notepad apps on Android and iOS phones do this automatic saving.

AppSheet saving involves writing the data to a remote database server, so even if the form stays open (I don’t know if this possible), this saving would take few seconds, interrupting your work. For this I’d paste complete long entries in the app rather than filling them in.

Another possibility is that you don’t save till you finish the entry, which comes with its own risks.

You should set up a Detail view with all of your columns as quick-edit.
