Bug? - Virtual Column type thumbnail saving images into g drive?

I have a Virtual Column, type thumbnail. A Physical copy of the images are being saved to my G Drive. Is this new, is this normal? This is my expression…

Hi @Grant_SteadIs! Great question! We actually don’t store your data in our servers, but the data that you add (in this case your images) needs to live somewhere. Because of this, your data is added to your data source, in this case Google. Here’s a doc for reference to help explain this concept a bit more.
