CSV vs XLSx Is there any benefit to use CSV?

Anyone here using csv as your data sources? i see that csv is smaller in size as compare to xlsx. On the same file, the file size was 9 times smaller 1kb vs 9kb

Do you recommend using csv? I am looking at the scalability of the app, when the data grow, my understanding that appsheet has a limit data size of compressed 5mb to 10mb?

i would venture to guess that CSV is simpler to use because it is raw data, visible for viewing/editing in any text editor and it has a few simple formatting rules: fields are delimited by commas, strings may be bounded with quotes (or not), some common date notations are allowed. In XLSX however, even a single cell contains tons of properties - data type, format, alignment, visible status, formula, if present, etc. Thatโ€™s why XLSX format are larger than CSV format.
