Calendar popup won't localize month names like "January" etc...?

I changed the localization settings on Google sheets and for the tables in my app as well as all the settings on my phone, but the calendar popup shows English language month names as depicted below. Is there a setting to change this?

To the best of my understanding, the date picker is a function of the operating system, not AppSheet itself. Therefore, the date picker is subject to the device's (or browser's) locale, not that of the app itself.

Thanks for replying @Steve. I believe it is true, but apparently this is not working for iPhone mobile app. On the desktop and mobile browser the date picker follows the locale correctly, but not the app.
