Calendar supported colors

Hello,
I am looking for a list of all the supported colors by the calendar. My app is switching between the colors but some colors like brown appear white. I looked at the color sample app but the colors there do not work in the calendar.

Also I do not understand why does the formatting rules work except in the calendar view under UX.
