Can a Slice be referenced in a bot expression?

Hi,  I have searched the interweb for this answer.  I believe the answer is yes, but would like an expert to chime in.  

If you have an automation bot, can you refer to a table slice in an expression for emailing people?  My current experience is yes, as the expression took the table slice name without issue.  Just seeing if there is something out there I am not thinking about.
