Hi Guys, I'm having a problem when generating a pdf report.

When I use the google docs template made by appsheet, it works just fine but when I edited/formatted it, it won't generate a pdf report.

Any tips?

Thank you all. This problem is now solved. What I did is I filled up the empty cells (table) and remove <<>> text..

Are you sure, here you have proper file ID? Double check it, maybe that's the problem.

the doc ID is correct. just a question, can I add 2 tables/pictures, change font size and format, change design in the template?

Also, I'm not completely sure but maybe you can't have blank values inside <<>>

Can you share a link to/screenshots/error messages regarding that template? we need more information to be able to troubleshoot your issue.

What appears in Audit History after you attempt to use your template?
If there are problems in your template the errors are displayed in Audit History.

Also use Save and Verify Data in the app editor to see and template errors.

Steve and I are suggesting this because the most common template problem is that it contains invalid field references or invalid expressions.

You can see those by specifying "Save and Verify Data" rather than doing a simple "Save" after you make any template changes. A simple "Save" does not verify your template changes, only "Save and Verify Data" does that.

This is a performance optimization because "Save and Verify Data" takes significantly more time to verify and save your template. We avoid this verification when you do a simple "Save" to make the save quicker.

When your template is used to generate a PDF, we perform the verifications and we save the errors, if any, to Audit History.

That's a weird bug that may not be related to your template, sounds like a problem in the backend.

Try making another template (not via AppSheet's "create" button) with the same data
