Child items display order

Hi,

Does anyone know why inline child elements of a parent table are shown in a different order than the one in which they were added?

If i add Child 1, Child 2, Child 3 after the parent form is saved the child elements are displayed in a random order.

Hi @Vlad_Roman have you had a look at the UX >ref views > -Inline >view options for the sort order?

I dont want them to be sorted. Just displayed in the order they were added. I think it has to do with the fact that they are not saved in same order as they were added. So the child items are read in the order they were saved.

I would be very surprised to find that if you worked through things in the app in this order:

1. parent
2. child 1
3. child 2
4. child 3

that things wouldn’t be saved in that order.

Lynn was asking you to check the space in the appsheet editor that controls how those records are shown in the inline view, maybe there’s something there you’re not expecting.
