Compare selected rows

Hi all, is there a simple way to do a side by side comparison of 2 or more entries from a table?

The "...or more"  qualification confuses things.  How many more?

First, side-by-side comparisons are out of the question on a mobile device.  

On a desktop, f you have a small finite number of items to compare, you could create a Dashboard view with Detail view panels set is a side-by-side configuration.  How many you can compare this way depends on the Desktop.

The easiest way, for both mobile and Desktop, is to simply filter the rows to be compared into a Table view then scroll through the table to compare the columns down the rows.

The application is primarily desktop usage. Interested in a 2-5 rows of data being displayed for comparison where columns and rows are inverted to easily compare specific metrics horizontally.
