Controlling button position

Hello,

I canโ€™t really understand something here with an Add Button, maybe itโ€™s a bug โ€ฆ

There is a system generated Add button that gives the + to add new projects from this main view.

I would like to replace the action of that button to take me to a form I created for filling in new projects. However, in the menu of the system generated button, I cannot change the action - it is grayed out.
Also if I make a copy of that button, depending on what action I choose for it, it disappears from this main view and appears inside the projects (when I click on one of the projects).

So if I choose โ€œApp: copy this row and edit the copyโ€, the button appears correctly, but if I choose โ€œApp: go to another view within this appโ€ (so I can redirect to the form view) the button disappears and is displayed basically in the detail view of projectsโ€ฆ

Any idea why this happens? How can I make that button stay in that view and direct me to that form?

Thank you,
Sorin
