Date showing as string of numbers

Hi there! my date is pulling from my google sheet in the following format: 43742 (should be: 10/4/2019). any ideas on how to solve? thank you!!!

Make sure the spreadsheet column’s format is Automatic or Date.

Make sure the app’s column type is Date.
