For the data type being set to decimals, decimal digits are accepted upto max 10.
However, when we type the decimal numbers manually inside the expression, then max acceptable decimal digits is seemingly 4. See the error messages.
Once we reduce the decimal digit to 4, then it is accepted.
From my point of views, expression should also accept upto 10 degits to be consitant with the limit on the column type settings. This could be Feature Request, but let me first throw to Q&A section.
