Displaying an image file from Google drive by file ID in an app

@lizlynch ,

When images from Google drive are to be displayed in an app, one out of several options is to use the URL format "https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=File_ID" to access the image file from the Google drive.

Previously I believe that option's mention used to be there in the following help article at the following paragraph describing Google drive. I could not locate this format either in this help article or anywhere else.

Typically newer app creators may tend to use the "copy link" option of an image file but that link will not show the image in the app. The "Copy Link"  option gives the URL in the following format but that format is not useful to display the image in the app.

"https://drive.google.com/file/d/File_ID/view?usp=share_link"

I believe this point was explicitly explained in the help article earlier. I could not locate it. May I request  you to  discuss with developer team and include it if it is missing for the benefit of new app creators.

@lizlynch

Thank you very much for the update. As requested in other post on the topic, will request you to update with any other alternative to access images from Google drive through URL.

What steps do we need to take in order to display an image file in an <img> tag on our sites? This used to work perfectly, but now I can't find URL format to show that image.
