Do not allow new adds to list

 I dont the user to be able to add a new item to the list.

How Do I change drop to not show New? The data type is REF.

On the column definition, unmark the option  allow other values

The data type is REF. There is no "allow other values" option on REF.

I am pulling the list from a table.
