Document generation with not editable and editable sections

Namaste,

In my app I wanted to generate a document which is for scheduling of activities, I tried creating templates using xlsx and docs format. first section of the form has fields which fetch data from table, like employee name, tasks, start date and end date, after creating document I want to open saved document and complete second section with columns to fill time, tasks, team member etc. 

My current settings, 

create a new file, table name, HTTP content type XLSX, template attached, file name [name.xlsx]

after creating, I Tested the bot, it is not opening at all, when I created pdf file it worked, but my purpose of editing second part of document not possible. Let me know which is the best way to create a document and have both non-editable and editable sections

If I understand correctly, you want to open a pre-generated document and apply updates to it.  This is not possible at this time.  AppSheet currently cannot open any document apply changes.

A work around is to have the second step fully re-generate the entire document.
