Dynamic input - force buttons

Is there any way to force the new dynamic input feature to show buttons instead of dropdown menu?

This may not be very conclusive or useful input. However my some experimentation showed that if there are up to say 3 enum values , then the buttons appear.  Any enum options beyond three, automatically revert to dropdown. Also as per my understanding there is no specific setting like in column settings we can select between dropdown and buttons etc.
