Edit Pencil is grayed; cannot delete column

I have noticed that I cannot delete some of my columns. I have noticed that they are the ones where the pencil icon on the left hand side of them is grayed out, not blue. Can someone help me to return those columns to ‘blue’ so that I can delete them if necessary?

Thanks,
Tony

Hi! Welcome to the forum. It may be that you need to set the table to allow deletes:

Or, it might be that the particular column is not set to be editable:

Hi Kirk, and thanks! This is helping me to get a sense of the overall functionality of the system. Much appreciated.

Gray columns are normal (non-virtual) columns; blue columns are virtual columns. Normal columns are tied to columns in your spreadsheet. To delete a normal column, delete the corresponding spreadsheet column then regenerate the columns of the corresponding app table.

Thank you Steve! Solved my problem but also gave me the framework to understand why the columns are gray. Very helpful.
