Enquire a read only table

Hi

I have a table StockList. I wish to be able to scan or search for an item and display the record to the user.

Since the table StockList is ready only, I cannot use a form. 

Should I create a new table for the enquires or is there a better solution?

Create a 'filter' table for the user to select the item they want to view OR just use the default system search function

I ended up creating a table and creating a record for every enquiry.

Displaying the most recent 10 records and deleting the rest using a bot.

Although I still need to sort out the latter.
