Enterprise standard license

I wonder if only editors need to have the Enterprise Standard license to create and distribute apps using the AppSheet Enterprise Standard feature, or should users have the same privileges?

To answer your question directly - When an app has enterprise features, Yes, ALL users will need to have the Enterprise licenses.  You cannot mix licenses within a single app.

Apps are free to build...with ALL capabilities available...even the ability to connect to a database.  The only exceptions are

  • Communication channels such as email, SMS and Text.  Those are only sent the app creator for obvious reasons.
  • Scheduled automation

You can also have up to ten total test user accounts...with no licenses required.

Licenses simply give end users access to the app.  Which license is required depends on what features are included.  You would move to Enterprise level license when taking advantage of more advanced features such as database connectivity - the most common reason but there are others.

All users within THAT app will have the same License type/level.  However, you can have multiple apps with different Licensing needs using the same datasource.

Thank you for answer. What I am curious about is the following: When you deploy an app with enterprise features, the question is whether the app users also need to purchase an enterprise license, or can they use the starter and core licenses.

Users don't pay. App owners pay for all users.
