Excel function 'XXX' is not supported in formulas

Good day.

Till last night my App was executing fine with the use of Excel XLookup Function.
This morning it gives the error:
The spreadsheet for ‘AppName’ uses an unsupported formula : Excel function ‘_xlfn.XLOOKUP’ is not supported in formulas.

I understand this error is given when the sheet uses an formula not supported by the users version of excel, but why did it stop working?, was the excel version changed where?
