In appsheet, I have a table called CHEESE. The table has a ref column called MILK USED.
The MILK table has an ID column called MILK_ID and a label column called MILK NAME.
In the CHEESE form you can enter the MILK USED.
On Mobile I can use the MILK_ID via NFC and QR.
However, only the label column works on desktop.
This is a problem become some milks have the same name. How might I fix this?
If I understand correctly, there is a setting in AppSheet that allows for manual override of scanned input. See image.
Do be aware that this setting applies to both mobile and desktop/browser. Its either both allow override or neither do.
"Allow scan input override" has been on. Turning it off does not change this issue.
I can input or select the label column values from the milk table, but not the ID.
However if i scan a qr or nfc of the id it works.

I guess I don't understand. Can you please show an example of there it works and then an example of where it doesn't work comparing the two?
Sure!
