This season ive been managing a Premier League predictions league. Its all been managed via excel but with a lot of manual intervention by myself. Currently the process is as follows:
- I send out the fixtures for the week into a Whatsapp group
- Everyone replies individually into the group chat with their predictions
- I then have to key their predictions into their relevant tab in the excel doc.
- Once the games have happened, I key the results into a fixtures tab.
- The members predictions are then calculated via a formula
- I then force the scores into the league table and sort by descending.
For next season, I wanted to try and automate as much of it as I could, and even have the members complete their scores directly rather than send them to me first. I was looking at web app development but its rather expensive when you donโt know what you're doing.
Do any of you know of any ways I could do this differently?
