Forced Sync 2

Dear Community:

It happens to me a lot that when I update an app that involves inserting new columns to the data source after a few days there are users who did not see the push notification that was sent to them and make a record with the old version of the app and the data that are recorded do not match the new structure.
Is there a way when a new version is deployed to force all devices to sync to adopt the new version at once?

Nope. Be more careful about when you're adding columns, and making sure that all of your users manually sync both before and after.

The best is to first send a broacast to all users that you are going to make changes and to save their data by some specific time. Then after this time make the changes, and when working ok, send another broadcast that all is ok and they may continue.

If you have to add more columns then add them to the end of the spreadsheet and in this way will avoid any overwrites into the wrong column. In the APP editor, you can do a virtual reorder if you so wish.

but as noted above you do it at your own risk ๐Ÿค”

Thanks Marc!
