Help needed to resolve Circular Definition Error

Hi Guys,

I need help understanding why my 2 columns’ (“Line Number” and “Variant Key”) Initial Value formulas are creating circular definition errors…

Formula for “Line Number”:

Formula of “Variant Key” that creates circular error:

The moment I remove LINE 11 in the formula for “Variant Key”, the circular error goes away:

Why would “Variant Key” LINE 11 be causing a circular error when “Variant Key” LINE 4 already ensures a condition which will never conflict with the LINE 2 condition in “Line Number”?

Is this because appsheet evaluate circular references without taking conditions into consideration? So that any circular mention between columns will trigger an error? Or am I totally missing some huge error in my expressions?
