Hidden actions in table view yields large blank space

Am I correct that even hidden columns associated with actions will still yield empty space holder?

Both columns have a call phone and text sms action associated with them but the ‘copyPhone’ column should be hidden on desktop:

(ditto for the SMS action for ‘copyPhone’

In my table view the empty space is where ‘copyPhone’ column is.

Is there any way to remove the blank space when viewed on desktop? Or is the only way to create an entire new view, one for devices and one for desktop? How expensive or whatever the terminology is for AppSheet to have a bunch of hidden views? How much does it slow down sync?

I think you can just hide the column itself.

It doesn’t affect sync at all, but it does affect rendering, which could slow scrolling through large tables.

There is no way to remove the blank space where the hidden icon would be without removing the column from the table entirely.
