Hopeless answers back from (BOT) support desk..... Super annoying.

I hope the title is self-explanatory, but let me re-phrase my title of my post.

"System/Auto generated inline action is not attached to any column, so we need to mannually attached to the column, which is a pain and not intuitive to the new appsheet users/creators"

My post to the support was,

----------------------

Once we change the data type, for example, from text to phone. Then AppSheet generates the action to call a number (phone) automatically, or change to the URL then create auto-generated action to open external URL. However, I m not sure when it started to happen, but the newly created inline-action is not appearing, as we have to select the column for those system inline action to attach to which column. Before Google time, it was attached to the source column (where we changed the column type) automatically, but  Im not sure when it started, we have to manually decide where those inline action need to appear.  This is NOT intuitive, especially for the AppSheet new users, beginners for sure.  Those inline-action should be attached to the source column. I personnely reported, this is a bug, but the answer back from the support desk is this is intentional...

Obviously the "specialist" in suppot desk never created Appsheet apps, so they could not share our frastration.

This is feedback...

Thanks Koichi. For this specific issue, it's more of a user preference but not necessarily a bug.

While we appreciate you voice this out (and we've passed your idea to the product team), we want to make sure we communicate this clearly that we truly understand and appreciate your questions/concerns. This is what we love to hear more about.

Clearly a proof that they just work to close tickets without any proper solution. They just need to show KPI dashboard to their bosses/managers the numbers. Nothing meaningful (except few people are serious/passionate about appsheet in current google company). Sadly, this is just one of many issues. And things like this always happens these days.

Hey Rifad, we made some changes in the last two months that existing tickets will not be closed even though we don't have an estimate when exactly it will be resolved. Now these tickets will remain open until we resolve them. Really appreciate your feedback though. If you have any interactions with our support is not up to your expectations, please provide the Case ID so I can take a look into it.

I found a solution. Not contacting support anymore is the only solution.

thats perfectly true. However, the problem is we have problems (everyday) to tacket with. There is no window is opened by Google.

@devingu

Sorry to say (after your effort) but after a year, there is no improvement in terms of the quality of the support, it is the same as before or gettting worse.

Feel free to delete this chain of my comment, as it is not supportive to Google management team. I m happy to be deleted.

Feedback received. I will share with my team. Thanks for being transparent. I really appreciate it.

Could you please share with me your ticket number through DM so I can take a deeper look.

@Koichi_Tsuji I see you and people like @Steve  including me, evolved from providing new ideas and tips in this community to complaining in every other post. Sad transition of this platform in past few months. Many people like @GreenFlux have already left appsheet development and this community.

@devingu  I wish people like you and googlers knew how good this community and people was before Google acquisition. There were really amazing people who spent hours on fixing and finding solutions. All we do these days is complain and keep complaining same things again and again.
