How do I create inspection button?

When using the log functionality I would like to have the nice "inspect" button to be able to add to the log, instead of the user having to scroll to the bottom of the log for the "view, Add" options. I tried to look into the back end of the facilities template but I cannot see the option under the detail view of the facility. 

The inspect button is even before the log starts.

actions - inspect - apparance - display overlay - would not be ok for your case?

Sorry actions does not seem to be under UX should I be looking under data first and create a virtual column?
