I have an enum that lists Object1, Object2, etc.
I want the table to only populate the last selection made in cell A2.
How do I overwrite cell A2 in the spreadsheet, instead of the default behaviour which adds a new entry on a new row for each subsequent selection?
Solved! Go to Solution.
You can enable Quick Edit for certain fields under the UX config.
Check this:
Hola Damian! Usa Acciones y seleccionรก esa celda con una expresiรณn Lookup()
Are you working with an app? If so, please describe your problem in app terms.
Hi Steve,
I have implemented an enum dropdown on a Form. It feeds the input back to my table fine, but it creates a new row on the table each time a new selection is made. Even worse, if I go from one selection to another and back again, I get the error โThere is already a row with the keyโ.
Multiple entries in the table arenโt necessary because I only need the current selection. The old entry is redundant once a new one is made.
The Form will become part of a Dashboard view, along with a map view that shows filtered data based on the Form input.
Ideally, I donโt want to collect a growing number of inputs in the table. I just need the current selection as a filter reference.
Am I on the right track?
Thank you
So you need a Detail View with quickedits, not a form.
Are you trying to make a Dynamic Dashboard sort of thing?
Yes, that I am
Iโm looking at the Detail View, but how do I render a drop-down with the selections?
Thank you very much. This one video has taught me a lot!
