How do i make the user see "card" view options in Category... Then after the user chooses - the sub category also card view

I have an app where my users are reserving items. I have Category (parent) and Sub Category(Child).

I Want the user to see a set of Categories (in card view) first. Then after they click on the category - then the next screen will be Sub Category in Card view as well.

What i currently have:
First View (Category)

Second View (Sub Category):

So… I want the First choice to be Cards view as well - NOT what my first image looks like…

Both of those appear to be card views, but with different card layouts. Review your view configurations.

It’s actually one card view with “Group by”. I am unsure how else to do it:
