How to control order of items in the filter menu?

How can I make the checkboxes in a filter option show in alphabetical order?  For instance: 

The items appear to go in the order that they appear in the spreadsheet data...?

I'll add to this question and ask, how do I get the filters themselves to appear in any order other than seemingly random?  It seems like they're also in the order of the underlying sheet data, which is often not in an order that makes sense to a human user.

 Yes, that was what I meant.  Appsheet should consider adding this functionality because it's a pretty big hindrance!
