I am trying to copy an app and have the data each app have its own data

When I copy the app the source is the same. I have created a new appsheet folder with a copy of the source google sheet from the source. I want to add fields to the new app…how can I do this?

Do you mean “add columns”? If so you can add new columns in google sheets, and in Appsheet go to
Data->Columns and click “Regenerate structure”.

when i go to the source in google sheets it is still the original file from the app I made the copy from. I want that app to stay the same.

Try to copy the old app again then.

And check this box:

Also to be totally sure. look at the adress bar of both versions of your google sheets to see if it is the same adress.

It should look something like this:

See if the scrambled numbers and letters are different.
