Inventory App - Primary view of categories, going into a view of filtered models of that category

Making an inventory app that has a lot of items and would like to break them down into categories.

Can someone point me in the direction where I could learn to make a category primary view and when you click the category it would take you to a view with a filtered view of those items pertaining to that category?

Example - 

• The home view will show: Condenser, Heat Pump, Furnace - ect ect
• Someone clicks the condenser card, the next view will show all the models of condensers we have.
