sure, go to the form view and choose the action in BEHAVIOR - Event Actions

Apparently form view only accepts an action when the form is saved.

U mean u want a action Button in a form right? Sry i missunderstood. I think it is not possible. But u can do a detail view with Quick edit columns and put a action there
