Is it possible to upload files of arbitrary type to a column of type “File”?

I want to upload and store 3D models in SketchUp format (.skp) using AppSheet for further processing. Currently I’m experiencing error upon sync which says “Media type ‘SKP’ is not supported. Valid media types: [/]”. Could this behavior be somehow reconfigured?

*.skp is a file format specific to SketchUp’s core rendering engine, it’s not a native file format.
