Issue with Auto Advance when reading NFC Tags

Hello,
I am having an issue with reading NFC tags and the auto advance form option.

The first field in my table/form is a Text/NFC and is set TRUE for show, editable and required.

When I open the form the “Ready to scan NFC” screen does not appear automatically. I have to click the scan button manually.

What makes it stranger, is that it occasionally it does work as expected and shows the ready to scan pop-up automatically (maybe 10% of the time).

I am testing on Android Galaxy 10.

Are there any plans to fix this issue?

Are there any clear differences between when it works and when it doesn’t? For example, a New entry versus Editing an existing entry? Or any other clearly apparent differences?

Regardless, I would recommend placing this on the bug list so it gets proper attention as a fix.

Hi John,
There is no clear difference for when it works or when it doesn’t. Totally random as far as I can tell.
This appears to be tagged as “bugs-issues-errors” now
