Multiple clients without a gmail [or other] address for authentication - how to handle?

I have an app that's starting to be used by a number of clients/companies...... with hopefully plenty more to come!

Not all the clients have a gmail [or outlook/apple] email address, so to make things easier for them I find myself creating gmail addresses for them purely for app authentication.

This is fine so far and I'm building a list of the email addresses and password for each company, but I'm starting to wonder if there might be a better way?

Any suggestions/thoughts?

(Everybody can run on the Starter Plan at the moment)
