New Record Bot not seeing data for AirTable as data source

I created a very simple AirTable table with 1 column. I have a bot that triggers on new record creation. When the bot is triggered, all data fields are null. Note, the update trigger has data as expected. Also note that the record is actually created in AirTable with proper values. It's just the bot does not see any of the new record's values.  Does anyone have a solution for this issue?

Bots only trigger on data changes that occur within the app. It sounds like you're expecting differently, is that so?
