Notification to user on status alteration

Hi I'm creating an app for Human resources, works like this:

User fill a form containing their data, documents and stuff for application, they can only add 1 application, and they can only see their application, automatically the status column goes to "In review"

i need to creat an automation to send a notification for that particular user if his status is changed, but this notification will only be sended to this user and not others

how can i do that?
