Recommended phones & tablets OR hardware to avoid?

Hi all!

We are considering buying iPods and iPads to use on WiFi for our team’s Appsheet edits… can any one share what hardware they like best with AppSheet? OR share hardware to avoid with known issues?

I am not an Apple fan, but my entire team is, jussayin.

I’ll start with our bad hardware testing experience: Amazon Fire 8 HD = NO GOOD, the camera will not focus close enough for scanning small bar codes, even in stand alone native camera app where you can touch to select focal point.

Does it need to be a tablet? Thereason why I’m thinking this… if you one day realize that you would like to use NCF tags, uups I can’t with these tablets.
