Remove data from users on map with action but keep in backend sheet

Hello, thank you for reading my post.

I'm in the process of building an app for the charity I work for to help track rough sleeping/begging locations of the homeless population in the cities we work in. The idea is that when our teams interact and support these people on the streets they will be able to mark their locations both for reporting and for carrying out additional checks/supports. I have created a header on my sheet titled category that separates each pin as either a rough sleeping spot or a begging spot. These are selected by the user depending on the situation when placing a pin. Additionally, I have created another column titled statues, here the labels are active/inactive or historical.

I have created actions that make changing the status of a pin simple, with just the click of the button. My question is, is it possible to create a filter or something else, that when the status of a pin is changed to historical it is removed from the map for its users, but remains on the backend google sheet?

The reason being is that this data is important for our reporting and we don't want this information to be lost. I have linked the backend sheet to lookerstudio and created a dashboard for our reporting requirements.

Thanks

The simplest way is to create a slice which filters your unwanted data away and then use that slice for your map view. https://support.google.com/appsheet/answer/10106592?hl=en&sjid=6958025418898717131-EU
