Retrieving data from sms

I have an appsheet app that utilizes the automation bot to send out a sms to a list of phone numbers. From what I can find, appsheet does use twilio to send a sms but I can't find anything on if users are able to respond back to the sms that I send out. I want to know if it is possible to retrieve responses from users. I understand I could use a custom twilio account as an alternative to this.

I think we Twilio you can have responses sent to an email and/or phone number.  As an alternative maybe put in an email address they can click on?  Typically I only consider SMS as one way, email is better for back and forth communication
