Scanning multiple items under 1 employee

I'm very new at this...

I got my inventory app to work, but I would like to make it better. 

Right now, the employe have to pick his name from the drop down menu, than tap the barcode barre, than scan and finally save...  It's very time consuming.

I wish to be able to pick the employee from the drop-down menu, than scan a list of items, than save. 

How do I do this?
