Scheduled Email - What Data is Included in Automation?

 

Hello,

We have a online form that contributes to a sheet in google sheets that is also a data source for a table I want to schedule an email automation from.  Will the automation email include the current data from the data source (google sheets) or will it only include the information since the last sync?

For a scheduled Bot, it will retrieve the data that is in the GSheet at the time that it is scheduled to run.

Very good question!  I am not certain if the servers retrieve latest data from the data source before they run automation.  I would think they do.

However, in your case, it sounds like you are using a Google Form as the "online form" to submit data.  AppSheet has implemented something called "external eventing" that can trigger automation based on sheet changes.  It currently only works with Google Forms or manual changes made directly in the sheet.
