Searching from top of form doesn't do anything if not key

I have several tables where many colums are hooked for search. However, if I search from the inbuildt search at the top of the screen, nothing appears unless it’s a key field.
How is this supposed to work and what can I do to have the search look into all searchable fields?

Please see this screenshot. I can only find records based on the Title field even if all other fields are hooked for Searchable.
